Delay Lama – MicroKorg Patch

Introduction

There is little to say about this patch. Some of us might recall the Delay Lama VST plugin, which was a kind of vocal synthesizer with a lot of reverb and delay. Excellent for drones and lush backgrounds, but ended up as a joke, making pseudo-covers of pop and rock songs. Despite its missuses, the sound of a vowel-ly voice chanting in the background with a lot of delay is something desirable in many occasions. This patch takes advantage of the Vox setting in OSC1 to make the microKorg chant. The Pitch and Mod wheels are routed to the Filter Cutoff and OSC1 Modifier, allowing further shaping the sound instead of the usual pitchbend and vibrato duties.
