Hello! My name is Filipe Teixeira. I works as a post doctoral researcher and spend most of my free time noodling on my synthesizers.
My professional passion is the design of novel materials and molecules with interesting properties, such as new catalysts, or nanostructured materials for electronics and sensing applications. I’m always fascinated on the implications of quantum mechanics into the macroscopic properties of said materials.
I strongly believe science and art are complementary ways for a human being to express their view of reality. Therefore, electronic music comes as a natural complement to my scientific work. I enjoy all kinds of music, but I’m currently more into synthesis and algorithmic music. Hopefully, you may find examples of my scientific and artistic work in this page.
